Aprilia USA pays tribute to the Space Shuttle

I found this video and Iw as amazed by the amount of facts in it. Even if you're into motorsports. watch it and read the facts.

It's the end of an era, folks. The first space shuttle mission left the earth way back in 1981, and ever since the giant white-and-black spaceships have been shuffling astronauts, their gear and other important space-age bits and pieces past the outer reaches of our atmosphere.

Soon, the program will be shut down for good. Which means it's time for the human race to stand up and recognize that we owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women who designed, built and operated the space shuttle program for the last several decades.

Aprilia wants to join in the celebrations with a tribute of its own, and has done so with a video extolling the virtues of both the space shuttle and its own masterpiece, the RSV4. If you're thinking that these two vehicles share next to nothing in common... well, you're right. But it's still a worthwhile tribute to a bygone era.

Enjoy!

Sharp Festival "Koten"

I was invited by Q8Rain, our fellow blogger to attend the Koten Festival by sharp. organized by Best (Alyousefi Electronics)

I got there a little bit late, got to meet few bloggers :)

I am a fan of technology and electronics, as I spend more on gadgets than clothes and accessories. So it was a good chance for me to go there and indulge myself with some of the latest in technology.

I was happy to see a lot of cameras and equipment for photographers.

The good thing is that they offer almost all the brands under one roof, which is very easy to compare between cameras rather than going back and forth between different stores and dealers.

Land line phones! do you use  these anymore ?

Big variety of plasmas and LCDs.

The regional Marketing Director was there to support the event :)
she helped us in explaining some of the new stuff introduced for the first time. since this is the first time to have the Koten Festival in the gulf region.

Music instruments for kids!
My BB was there just to show the size :P
Loved it!

My lovely hand holding BB and iPhone just to show you how slim id their new TVs.

Enjoy!

Zain, Viva and Wataneya

If you like reading try this link..

If not, I did the reading for you :P
The problem that we all complain about from telecom companies in Kuwait is all caused by the ministry of communications since there’s no committee to check the rates and the regulations.
Some highlights :
· Kuwaiti telecom companies can’t spy on calls, only the time, number, location. But the actual voice conversations can’t be traced.
· LTE (high speed internet) up to 175 Mbps is coming soon.
· Number portability will come soon but the ministry does not have what it needs to do so, so the three telecom companies offered help and support. But apparently the ministry wants to create a new company to take care of the issue.
· Kuwait customers are among the highest users of mobile and the prices are the cheapest in the region.
· Why should we disagree when other telecom companies invest in Kuwait while we invest outside!
· To get permission for a new tower that can help the coverage, the process takes 8 months at least. And there’s pending approvals since 2005!
· Local companies have no effect on the prices of international and roaming rates.

Verdict: I am happy with what I have; I get exactly what I need from the service provider.

What do you think we need more from telecom companies! If there’s anything that you need, please name it.
