M Meet X
The event held by BMW in Mishref duringthe Kuwait Car Show last weekend.
I was Invited through a friend to attend some testing of few cars.
At the beginning I was hesitant to go because I was invited to another 4X4 off-road event in northern area in Kuwait. With almost 40 off-road cars.
Until I got a call from BMW to inform me of their event. My first question was!
What cars are going to test!
The List was :
- BMW X5M
- BMW X6M
- BMW M3
So I said YES YES I AM coming..
And there I go..
We started by registering our names and we got a tag.. dangler.. One of those plastic fancy ones.. I Still have it but it shows my name, which is going to ruin the whole concept of The Stig anonymousness theory.
After the badges, they started with a video about the history of BMW M Division. So COOOL
Then a small briefing for those first-timers.
They got two test drivers from Germany to help us getting to know the cars better and explore the potential.
The Name M Meets X was designed to promote BMW's new X5M & X6M.
In the past BMW M division was only making the M5 and M3, then came along the Z8 in 2001 and seized production with 5000 cars only.
They refused to use the M Badge on a car that is not sporty enough like the & series.
But this time they wanna prove me wrong and make a fast SUV! we'll see
And here we go! Starting the new M3 V8.. it rumbles like a soaring throat.. a cool one though.
Unfortunately I was not able to take pictures and driving in 1st gear doing 40 km/h zigzagging!
So no pictures this time :P
After our careless driving in the beemers.. Ralph the test driver offered us a drive in the X6M to show us how driving can be.

Thank god I came on an empty stomach.. otherwise..! you know the rest.
